The Transformational Truth of Tarot Retreat + Accredited Tarot Diploma 1

Lamorna, West Penwith, Cornwall, February 28th - 2nd March 2020.

Welcome to a very special weekend in the most ancient Celtic heart of Cornwall.

This untouched ancient land is known as West Penwith, measuring just eight miles across, it is home to no less than five hundred Bronze Age sites! This should give you some hint to its incredible magic. One of which is actually on the site we are staying, it’s an incredibly important monument known as the Boleigh Fogou. So important that the BBC came and did a Time Team program on it.

Come Down the Rabbit Hole!

Like the Tarot, the Boleigh Fogou is steeped in history, no-one knows exactly how or when it came about, but it’s magic and mystery pull you into a vortex and transform you.

As well as the Boleigh Fogou on the actual grounds, The Michael Ley Line that runs through St Michael’s Mount passes right through Rosemerryn. Plus, there are two stone circles which encompass the land surrounding Rosemerryn, the central stone of one is made of quartz. These are all incredibly ancient and unfathomable energies, all we know is...

People leave Rosemerryn different, transformed, a page has turned, a chapter has been opened and a new life has begun, and people love to come back and do it again and again, embracing the magic, mystery and wonder of knowing that their life will never be the same.

Would You like to Open the Door to the Magic?

  • Are you someone that has always had an interest in Tarot and self-development?
    • Would you like to learn the transformational power of the Tarot in a truly transformational place?
  • Does the sound of starting a new commitment to your spiritual journey on a whole deeper level whilst being held in a powerful circle, within magical stone circles appeal to you?

Lamorna, West Penwith, Cornwall, February 26th - 1st March 2019.

The Transformational Truth of Tarot Retreat is already pretty much full, in fact, we have room for only six very important people, who we would love to open our doors to meet!

It's pretty much full because I already have a really wonderful group on this path, could you be the next member?

Come along and see!

This time, this retreat, for the FIRST time is opening it's doors to those who THINK they MIGHT want to do The Transformational Truth of Tarot!

Plus - For the first time, I'm throwing in the Accredited Tarot Diploma 1 course into the mix!

This means:

1. You get the Tarot Diploma 1 for free.

2. If you decide to do The Transformational Truth of Tarot then the price of your retreat will be deducted!

The transformation in this course is incredibly powerful and the energies here, at Rosemerryn, are incredibly powerful, so if you are just interested in dabbling for a few days, then this isn’t the retreat for you.

If however, you are excited by the thought of making a new level of commitment to your self-discovery and you feel excited about joining an incredibly safe and supportive group then read on.

Okay, So You Think and Feel This Might Just Be What You’ve Been Waiting For?

International Travel:

I have had many students come from other countries to attend, even some as far as Canada, the USA and Australia. They tend to turn it into a trip of a lifetime, flying into London, seeing the sights of Stonehenge, Glastonbury and the fantastic Roman City of Bath on their way, if they rent a car, or just an overnight stop in Bath if they want to break up the six-hour journey into two.

If you prefer, catch a connecting flight from London to Newquay, that takes an hour instead of six, and then pick up a car, or the train for the last hour.

National Travel:

You can catch a coach or a train from many cities in Britain to Penzance - PZ is surprisingly well-connected (but you might need a good book to read on the way as it’s far far away!).

You can also drive down the M5 and A30 (or, from London, the M3, A303 and A30).

If you don’t like the thought of a long journey you can book a sleeper train and sleep through it - just be sure to book a berth! I’ve had people not realise that if they don’t do that, then they won’t get a cabin!

Or fly into Newquay airport to save 5 hours and then pick up a train or a car from there.

If you get the train, stay on til the last stop, Penzance - and then you’ll need to get a taxi for the last bit (15 minutes), even the train doesn’t go as far as we go!

And only certain taxis are in the know too!

So, we will let you know which one to get, because once you enter the Lamorna valley all your reception goes, zilch signal, boom, it’s gone! No telephone box, no shops, only a pub with erratic opening times, and the February sea fog means we need to look after you!

So Let’s Begin!

Friday 28th February:

4 - 5pm: Arrival.

Because you will have already made connections with the other people on the group a lot of people arrive in subgroups, either carpooling or catching the same trains. The connection begins before you arrive! When you arrive I will be waiting to welcome you with a warm toasty log fire, homemade lemon poppy seed cake and a nice brew :)

5pm: Sunset Tour of the Grounds and Boleigh Fogou.

This time of year is simply magical at Rosmerryn, the grounds of which are always drenched in fairyland magic, at any time, but Spring has that extra magic, the woodland floor gets carpeted with snowdrops, bluebells and daffodils, a perfect time for a gorgeous welcoming invocation in the grounds and visit to the earthing grounding Fogou.

6 - 7:30pm: Dinner.

Dinner will be vegetarian, please let us know if you have any other dietary requirements. We are used to catering for vegan and gluten-free guests. This is the only time dinner is included in this retreat. The other two evenings are spent at one of the local eateries, The Lamorna Wink - which is a lovely walk down to The Cove, or The cornish Meadery a short drive away - if you have a car great places to go are St Ives - a stunning Cornish bayside Artist's and Fishermen's town, Mousehole, which is a quaint rabbit warren-like fishing village, and Porthcurno - not much there but such a powerfully wild breathtaking bay. Of course, you can always stay in and cook something for yourself if you bring your food with you - there aren't many shops around, but there is everything from an ancient Aga to a modern Microwave! Some people relish having the place to themselves and you are encouraged to do what's right for you.

7:30pm: Log Fire Circle.

We start our circle by building a strong space of connecting with ourselves, each other and the Tarot in a series of fun exercises designed to get you thinking! Here we think about what we want in terms of what we want to bring to the space and what we want to receive from it, and form an equal co-collective to go get it! We also find out what card is calling for us to sleep with it that night!

9:00pm: Free Time.

There is a pub 15 minutes walk away that you can get to (if you have a torch!). If you have a car then you are spoilt for choice with places to visit, Mousehole and St Ives come highly recommended. Otherwise, there is Wi-Fi, and spiritual board games that people love to play, or maybe you just want to crash in your beautiful boudoir.

Saturday 29th February:

8:30 - 9:30am: Breakfast.

We will have an array of delights prepared for you, fresh green, orange or red juice of some kind! Or NutriBullets of your request, fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, cereal or porridge, eggs and fabulously toasted crumpets from the Aga! Yum!

9:30 - 10:00am - Free Time.

This is the time for you to stretch your legs around the grounds, for some fresh invigorating February air! Don’t forget to pack your wellies!

10:30 - 11:30 am: Opening Circle, Checking In and Getting Started.

Here we check in with ourselves, each other, and the Tarot. How are you doing? Who do you think you are in the cards today? Who do others think you are in the cards today?

11:30 am - 12:00 noon: Building Trust in Partnerships.

We are spoilt with a gorgeous big hall at Rosemerryn with a big sound system. This gives us space to express ourselves with movement and body, which I believe is important upon spiritual retreats. All too often I have been on ones that do not encompass getting up and moving and we can come away feeling more drained than recharged. If you do yoga bring your mat and use this hall in your free time - people often do it together. I use the hall here to build exercises of trust, connection and expression with you here, I can't tell you much more than during the retreat we build this in incremental steps with our exercises in this beautiful space - climaxing on Sunday afternoon with one of the deepest exercises that is one of the most powerful and well-remembered parts of the retreat - along with the stone circle visits.

12:00 - 1:30 pm: Connections in Partners with The Tarot and Feedback.

This is where I see you in action and give you hands-on help to give you a leg-up to the next level of your Tarot practice. The retreats are the only time in the course we get to read face to face and I can witness this and give you hands-on practical assistance. It doesn’t matter if you are completely new to the Tarot, this is where we go deep and get your professional practice up to scratch.

1:30 - 3:00pm: Lunch and free time.

We like to give you a long lunch so you can stretch your legs on one of the many beautiful walks, retire to your room to recharge, or simply enjoy each other with no agenda, after all this is a retreat, and yes we are learning but we are aware we want you to come away feeling filled up on every front, that means we take into consideration the important balance of work, rest and play, and mind, body and spirit.

3:00 - 5:30 pm: Going Deeper With The Tarot and Each Other Part 2.

By this time in the course, you will have started to really bond with each other, which now means it’s time to go to the next level, we do role play with difficult scenarios and other interesting professional practices that leave you well equipt to re-enter what can sometimes be a challenging but always richly rewarding role in the world. Often people think that to be a reader you just need to know the Tarot - this is not true. To be a good reader there has to be a deep understanding of how to communicate and build rapport, as well as an understanding of complex psychological dynamics.

5:30 - 6pm:

Feedback, identify the card that wants to sleep with you tonight, give thanks and closing circle.

Day one is quite gentle, light and fun, you may still be recovering from the actual physical journey, and acclimatising to each other and the powerful energy here, so we take it easy on you!

Dinner: We only provide dinner on the first night of arrival, if you have a car you will be spoilt for choice, otherwise you will need to rely on The Lamorna Wink (good little local, freshly modernised), The Cove (expensive hotel) or Lamorna Pottery (quirky little B&B cafe place) being open down the road - don’t forget your torch! Alternatively, people get together and hire taxis, or bring food with them, there is a fridge in the lounge for this purpose.

Freetime: Pub, Wi-Fi, or I bring my Transformation Games and Gift of Enlightenment for people that want to carry on the self-development in a fun social way into the evening. Or, of course, there’s always your bed if you really do feel the need to properly retreat, then that’s also exactly what this time is here for.

Sunday 1st March:

8:30 - 9:30am: Breakfast.

We will have an array of delights prepared for you, fresh green, orange or red juice of some kind! Or NutriBullets of your request, fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, cereal or porridge, eggs and fabulously toasted crumpets from the Aga! Yum!

9:30 - 10:00am: Free Time.

This is the time for you to stretch your legs around the grounds, for some fresh invigorating February air! Don’t forget to pack your wellies!

10:30 - 11:30 am: Opening Circle at Boscowan Un Stone Circle.

West Penwith in Cornwall is a tiny piece of land in the far southwestern tip of Cornwall. It's literally littered by 500 Megalithic Bronze age sites, the Fogou inside Rosmerryn is just one of them, that we visit at the beginning and end of the retreat. The other two sites we visit are the Merry Maidens and Boscowan Un.

The energy at Boscowan Un stone circle is something else. I lived in this land for several years and visited many of the megaliths and this one is by far my favourite. The energy is incredibly high and totally grounding all at the same time.

Maybe it's to do with it being an ancient sundial aligned to Stonehenge?

Or maybe its to do with this stone above that is covered in quartz! To be honest, my favourite stone is one in the outer circle. When I connect with it I feel such strong support it's  incredible. Yup! Boscowan Un recharges you like no other site I know.

1:00 - 2:30 pm: Lunch and Free Time.

2:30 - 4:00 pm: Making Your AstroTarotMandala.

Find out what planets connect with what cards and what your birth chart looks like in Tarot! You'll come away seeing exactly what you are made up of and explore how you can neutralise and harmonize any parts of yourself that clash or cause you disharmony in your life - the first part of this exercise is solitary - you, your birth chart and your cards, then group discussion, followed by interactive expression in the hall, it is the climax of all of the exercises and one of the most powerful parts of the retreat.

4:00 - 5:00pm: Feedback.

The end of day two is the end of an incredibly powerful day. You will have gone so incredibly deep within, with each other, and with the Tarot that you’ll begin to know what exactly your commitment to your path is all about, your purpose and path to embrace will have been revealed. You’ll be preparing to declare to the universe that you are ready to step into it, when we do our new dawn of a new day sunrise ritual the next morning.

5:30 - 6pm: Reflection and closing circle:

Identify the card that wants to sleep with you tonight, give thanks, reflect on the day and preparation for The New Dawn, New Day, Sunrise Merry Maiden Invocation.

6 pm onwards: FreeTime.

Monday 2nd March:

6:30 - 7:30 am: Sunrise Merry Maiden Invocation.

Here you reflect on what this whole experience has been for you and as the sun rises so do you, as we take our turns to come to the centre and declare what we are going forth with as we re-enter the world  to the universe with the group, stones and rising sun to witness:

8:30 - 9:30am: Breakfast.

We will have an array of delights prepared for you, fresh green, orange or red juice of some kind! Or NutriBullets of your request, fresh fruit, yoghurt , muesli, cereal or porridge, eggs and fabulously toasted crumpets from the Aga! Yum!

9:30 - 10:00am: Free Time.

Time for you to say your last goodbyes to the grounds - until, hopefully, next time.

10:00 - 11:00am: Closing Circle.

It’s time to just come together to honour each other, the space and what happened with it, to mark what you want to leave behind, and what you want to take with you, and to bless yourself and each other on your ongoing journey, certificates are given to those who have finished the course.

11:00 am: Departure for Your Onward Journey.

Emotions run high at the end of such a deep time spent together, yet...

It’s not really the end, you will continue on the path together through The Transformational Truth of Tarot journey and onwards, your bonds live on.
