On June 14th, 2022, we have a Full Moon at 23° Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces whilst Jupiter (your inner compass) is unaspected. That means you could be feeling pretty lost right now.
That's what happens when Jupiter goes missing in action during a new Moon, Neptune is in Pisces, Mercury isn't entirely out of shadow, and Mars is conjunct Chiron in Aries.
Mars is how we assert ourselves, Chiron is the wounded healer, and Aries is our identity. Some hurt around the topic of "I am" may resurface during this transit. So now we ask ourselves: "How do I find my way? How do I find my North Star?"
But what if you don't need a compass? What if all you need is a curious spirit? As the old saying goes…
"If you want something different, do something different," and that's certainly true now.
Especially as Mercury moves forward into its home sign of Gemini the day before this Full Moon, we may get some new downloads and resets of the mind BUT!...
..Gemini is the opposite sign of Sagittarius, and opposite signs always share a similarity; both Gemini and Sagittarius are light, flexible, expansive fast-moving energies. However, Mercury is not wholly out of the recent retrograde lessons until June 18th, so we need to take the revelations slowly.
With Saturn and Neptune gearing to go retrograde until the end of the year, things we are trying to do in the external world keep getting thwarted; and that's the theme of 2022!
"Your vision will only become clear when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams, who looks inside awakens. - Carl Jung.
Sagittarius is a visionary, fun, happy go lucky optimistic sign of the zodiac, but it's also the student that never stops learning, and this is the face of the moon we are seeing this month.
"Aim for success, not perfection, and never give up because then you will lose the ability to learn new things. Move forward with your life." - Buddha.
This Super Moon illuminates the philosophical seeker side of Sagittarius more than the new horizons seeker (well, the external new horizons).
The freedom seeker needs to build a secure life to have true freedom rather than escapism. So what significant lesson/s have the past six weeks brought you whilst Mercury has been retrograde?
Get clear on this now because Saturn is now retrograde in Aquarius, reigniting the Saturn-Uranus backdrop of lockdown. As a result, the world is in lingering lockdown energy (remember lockdown would last a week or two, eh?) We are all going through a period of profound changes, and they take time.
It is time to learn the lessons, especially if you have planets between 18°-25° degrees in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). Maybe it's your health (Saturn rules the bones, teeth and skin in particular), your career, or your home that needs a systemic change?
Saturn will give you the grit to keep going while Uranus shows different perspectives--by the end of the retrograde in October, you'll come up with new solutions to old problems.
To Summarise, here are the 6 Symptoms (and solutions) of the Sobering Sagittarius Super Moon:
1. What you once knew is no longer true.
You know you have to move on - and without clarity or certainty - do your best in the present moment and don't look too far ahead. We are in dense fog (even though it's supposed to be summer!) So move forward a step at time - boom there's clarity, right where you are, even though you can't see ahead for toffee.
2. You've "lost" your purpose.
We are no longer who we were, and the world is no longer as it is; It's a deeply humbling time. Once upon a time, I thought a purposeless life was not worth living - now I see it's a way more beautiful, healing, nurturing, humbling way of life - if you have seen Disney's "SOUL", you'll know what I mean!
3. You feel like you are in a straight jacket.
This is not as bad as it seems. We need it in these fast-moving days of instant expectations, so if you feel like the universe has put you in a straight jacket when it comes to certain actions - don't fight it. Instead, this is a sign to listen deeply to the little still voice, so it doesn't stay little anymore.
4. Everything you're looking forward to gets delayed/cancelled.
Not usually the case with Sagittarius, but considering where the other planets are, the philosophical seeker is activating over the pleasure seeker. It's a time to explore within instead. To stave off depression, aim for a peaceful life instead of a fun one (just for now).
5. You feel the need to focus.
With Mercury turning direct and Saturn going retrograde the lessons we need to learn are perhaps the only clear thing - now it's time to learn them.
6. You're craving a simple way of life.
The high flying life is just way too exhausting; now you crave a tiny minimalist house and a veg patch to be self-sufficient with. This is the beginning of the change we need to see. You might not be able to see how right now, but stay humble and keep the faith.
If you don't know what to do, sit. This energy is unusual for a Fire Sign Moon but let me tell you a story that will explain:
Last month I asked my open circle what 10-day Transformational Tarot journey they wanted to do next. Did they want the get-up and go of the fiery wands or go deep within with the reflective cups? The fiery wands were a winner, but symptom number 2 (the straight jacket) happened when I went to set it up.
So I looked at the astrology...
May's skies were better suited for a Cups journey, whereas June is better suited for a Wands journey (even though the quality of fire is changing - keep reading:))
So we went with the Cups delaying the Wands until now. I had no idea what the universe was up to at that point. Still, during the journey, it became apparent. We connected deeply to our intuition through a powerful message about slowing down and becoming very considerate.
Now I know we could not move into the wands without having that embedded first - and that's how the quality of fire is changing:
It's no longer raging and rampaging the world with its uncontrollable energy. Instead, it's about finding comfort in the creative things you love and letting those feelings guide you in a new direction.
The Tarot card for Sagittarius is Temperance, it’s time to take more water with it and cross over gracefully into a new direction…
If you'd like to join us for the 10-day journey through the wands (Creative Catalyst) over in my circle - the direction is here.
