Welcome to the full Moon in Leo, and the invite of the wild wide open roar reaching up and out to the world from the depth of the lion’s belly!
It’s time, time to be ALL of who you are, to accept your shadow and embrace the wild and dark as much as the light and love.
Two beautiful writings sum up his full moon completely, and I’m going to weave them through the magic here today, so who are they from?
Des ree meaning “Desire”, and Oriah meaning “Light of God”...
Listen as your day unfolds, Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears, Go ahead release your fears
Stand up and be counted, Don't be ashamed to cry.
- Des ree
This Leo Full Moon looks a bit full on to say the least!
In layman's terms…
See the red lines? it means the planets are in a “frictional relationship”. Juxtaposed or diametrically opposed. It’s usual to find some of this in the mix along with some more harmonious trines or sextiles (blue lines), but where is the harmony in these skies!?
Okay, okay so oppositions and squares might break you or make you cry in your decaff coffee, but! They also make you and gift you the staying power to fly high.
Look at the chart, it’s a red right angle right?
Now look at the world card below, you see the red ribbons tied around the laurel?
The victorious laurel wreath is held together through friction, the red ribbon is diametrically opposed.
Next, look at the four corners of the card, starting at the bottom left and going clockwise, you’ll see Taurus, Aquarius, Scorpio and Leo.
The four fixed signs, all in frictional relationship to each other but together they make the world go round.
The four fixed seasons, the four spokes of a wheel (which is why you see a sneak peek of the bottom left of The Wheel card)
It’s not staying slouched on the comfy couch that gives you the impetus to get out there in the world is it? So no cowering under your duvet! Even if Mercury Retrograde is gearing up to kick in too!
Because these are the days you’ll see just how far you’ve come.
And how much you have to draw from and upon.
Herald what your mother said, Read the books your father read
Try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time
Some may have more cash than you Others take a different view
My, oh my, yeah, eh, eh
You Gotta Be bad, You Gotta Be bold, You Gotta Be wiser
You Gotta Be hard, You Gotta Be tough, You Gotta Be stronger
You Gotta Be cool, You Gotta Be calm, you gotta stay together
All I know, all I know Love will save the day
Love will save the day indeed, and that is what the Leo (sign of the heart) is here to teach us.
You can herald what your mother said, read the books your father read, but if there's no feeling in what peeps are hearing then there’s gonna be no healing.
Leo is the dancing flames of fire that gathers friends and lovers together in the darkness, warming their cockles and hanging navigation stars above their heads as they open their hearts and tell stories of old...
Leo Full Moon is a passionate fire sign, it has no time for fluff or beating around the bush.
Leo courageously invites you to dive deep into the real, raw, authentic heart of a matter...
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me, how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love for your dream for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
If you have been opened by life's betrayals
Or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes.
Without cautioning us to be careful to be realistic to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day.
And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon,
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
The Invitation - Oriah Mountain Dreamer.
Oriah sums up the energy of this Full Moon so well I wondered if she was a Leo, a quick search came up with…..
Which ho hum looks like it’s time for me to step in…. This Full Moon in Leo (which is my sign btw)!
Are you up for taking a deep courageous passionate dive inside your heart this Leo Full Moon?
In true Leo fashion you’ll know if it’s a yes, without knowing what you are saying yes to! Right here, right now.
Day 1. The Activation of The Emperor, The Numerology of 4, and your gift in 2020.
There’s no doubt 2020 was one of those red square type of years...
In numerology it was a 4, in the Tarot that’s the number of The Emperor who had us locked down in our four walls.
Some of us still are, and if you are wondering why you elected to live at this time, what purpose has it served for you?
Then today’s the day to find it, put it together and get it out there in the world!
Now that might sound a lot in one day but The Emperor simply doesn’t have time to pussyfoot around…
You’ll get time to polish it over the next 4 days... if need be :)
Day 2. The Four of Swords and The Mental Gift of Lockdown:
Here’s some wise words from my fave Emperor of all time Marcus Aurelius...
“Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul.” -Marcus Aurelius
Welcome to the power of The Four of Swords Named by the Golden Dawn as “The Lord of Rest” This is the gift of lockdown, being mentally locked down in our four walls, if we use it wisely, it may well be our satori moment (sudden enlightenment)!
Day 3: The Four of Cups and Emotional Gift of Lockdown:
"Today I listen openly to what is being presented to me ." but not before I give myself a chance to wallow!
Yup! Permission to wallow today!
Permission to take a moment to think about your life and where you might be self pitying –and allow it! Have a good wallow first, time it, 4 seconds, 4 minutes, or 4 hours, gift yourself inner child time, hug yourself up, reassure yourself, then get that inner child excited, children LOVE the invite to open up the magic... today’s the day!
Day 4: The Four of Cups and Creative Gift of Lockdown:
What’s day 4 of Be Your Own Emperor about? I think Russell Brand sums it up below...
“The most insightful thing I ever heard was overheard was waiting for a rail replacement bus. These two old women weren’t even talking to me - not because I’d offended them, I hadn’t, I’d been angelic at that bus stop, except for the eavesdropping.
Rail replacement buses take an eternity, because they think they’re doing you a favor by covering for the absent train, you’ve no recourse.
Eventually, the bus appeared, on the distant horizon, and one of the women, with the relief and disbelief that often accompanies the arrival of public transport said, ‘Oh look, the bus is coming.’ The other woman - a wise woman, seemingly aware that her words and attitude were potent and poetic enough to form the final sentence in a stranger’s book - paused, then said, ‘The bus was always coming.’”
Want your bus to hurry up and come?
Day 5. The Four of Pentacles and The Material Gift of Lockdown:
Life, Lockdown and The Four of Pentacles is like a box of Scrabble...
You are dealt a hand but it’s not often you can make what you want out of it, only every now and again do the conditions open up for you to put down that amazing hand you just got.
Most of the time you don’t have a seven –letter word handed to you, or even if you do, you can’t get it out because the environment on the board is not conducive.
The other players either hinder you or help you depending on what they put down on the board, which is all about them, it’s nothing personal!
And if you are attached to the hand you have, then it will hinder you, but if you can be adaptable enough to take in what the environment is offering you first and think “how can I maximise my value with what’s on the board and the hand I have been dealt?” well, that’s the winning mindset.
This is the way to embrace the spiritual message of The Four of Pentacles, turn those blocks into buildings.
Ready to join?
No, you don't need a Tarot deck or any knowledge, just a desire...Remember...
